In advance of tomorrow’s Autumn Budget, we have written to the Chancellor Rachel Reeves and Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson to call for urgent investment in early intervention services such as whole family support practitioners to begin to address the school attendance crisis.

As recommended in our policy report for the new Government published in July, we continue to call for a commitment to funding a whole family support practitioner for every school, to support families to address and overcome the complex and overlapping challenges that stand in the way of children accessing the education they deserve.
